Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - NIN FANS UNITE!
THESE TAPES ARE THE ONLY REASON I KEEP MY VCR! DEMAND ITS RELEASE ON DVD!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The most amazing thing I have ever seen!.
I visited the official NIN website a while back and it seems like Trent Reznor himself said that he was going to rerelease this tape on dvd with a few more extras and videos but I doubt that its going to happen what with Trent taking forever to release something, anyway Closure is a fantastic tape that takes a look at some concert footage during the self destruct tour 1994-1997 on the first tape, the footage was captuered on hand held cameras so don't expect it to have excellent quality I just thought it was fairly good. The second tape though is deffinetely worth it, it has all the music video from NIN up untill the perfect drug which is the most amazing video ever and also contians the happiness in slavery video which has some very graphic violence and gore you have been warned its not for the easily offended or those who have a weak stomach. Overall I highly recomend this tape to all NIN fans.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I liked this
I liked the music video tape more than the convert footage, but I enjoyed both of them still. The Music videos I was impressed by the cinimatography of the music videos in general. Be warned though, there is some real graphic stuff on this tape.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - If you can find this buy it.
These videos are amazing. The live performances are great, I bought these videos back when I was in high school. I must say they aged very well. If you love Nine Inch Nails you will love these videos.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - NOW DOESN'T THAT MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER?
THat is a line from march of the pigs song/ video. THis closure set is the best. It has all the videos that were released from nin's beginning until the release of the downward spiral. It also has live footage from the self-destruct tour from 1995. The concert kind of blows but the videos are awesome. BUT BEWARE THE VIDEOS ARE EXTREMELY GRAPHIC AND DISTURBING. THEY ARE VIOLENT BUT GOOD. This is only out on VHS right now because trent is dealing with law suits for the release on dvd. Don't wait. It won't come out. BUY THIS NOW!!!!!!!

Hurricanes, as we've seen, can wreak serious havoc when they strike populated areas. We've never had control over them before, but one researcher thinks they could be broken up with F-4 fighter jets.

In theory, sending in a pair of the jets to do loops around the eye of the hurricane while it's still out over the ocean, creating sonic booms, would break it up before it hits the shore.

Jet fighters flying at supersonic speeds along special trajectories with a hurricane/typhoon at various altitudes would create supersonic booms. In one such embodiment, the trajectories for the supersonic booms of the present invention are counter to the rotational component of the hurricane and/or typhoon being targeted. As such, supersonic booms can be tailored and/or designed to partially and/or fully -negate the basic rotational contribution in a hurricane by slowing down a hurricane's/typhoon's rotation. Additionally, when supersonic booms propagate downward to the surface of the ocean they also destabilize a hurricane's/typhoon's structure by increasing the pressure in the central part of a hurricane's/typhoon's eye.

It's a pretty crazy idea, but I guess it makes sense. It would be pretty amazing to be able to stop any hurricane before it hit shore, saving millions and millions of dollars and who knows how many lives. I can't wait for them to test this out. [Patent via AV Web; Thanks, Jason!]

The fact that I'm able to type this blog entry less than a week after the operation has me hopeful that recovery will be quicker than I was led to believe, but it will still be a few weeks before I'm able to really tackle any serious work.
